This policy explains how Connectum Europe Ltd (“Connectum Europe”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data in connection with this website and our services. We are the data controller. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17369558, registered office at 30 First Avenue, London, England, W10 4NL.

02Data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may hold:

• Contact details — name, email address, and the content of messages you send us through the contact form or by email.
• Payment administration data — where we administer payments collected by SEPA direct debit: the name on the mandate, IBAN, client number, mandate reference, and transaction history connected to that mandate.
• Engagement records — correspondence, agreements, and documents exchanged during a service engagement.
• Technical data — basic server logs (IP address, request time, user-agent) generated automatically when you visit this website.

03Why and on what basis

We use personal data only where a lawful basis applies:

• Contract — to deliver services you or your organisation have engaged us for, including administering payment cycles under a mandate.
• Legitimate interests — to answer enquiries, identify bank-statement charges when you ask us to, keep our records orderly, and protect the security of this website.
• Legal obligation — to keep accounting and business records for the periods UK law requires.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

04Bank statement enquiries and the account lookup

If you contact us about a charge that appears on your bank statement under the descriptor CONNECTUM EUROPE, or use the account lookup on this website, we use the name, IBAN, and client number you provide solely to locate the mandate and transaction concerned and to respond to you. Lookup requests are rate-limited and logged for security; a request that does not match a record receives the same response as one that does, so the lookup cannot be used to probe whether a person is a client.

05Who we share it with

Personal data is shared only where necessary to operate:

• Banks and authorised payment partners that execute collections we administer
• IT and hosting providers that run this website and our systems
• Professional advisers (accountants, legal counsel) under confidentiality
• Authorities, where the law requires disclosure

Each provider is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions and to protect it appropriately.

06Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected: enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months after the matter is closed; engagement and payment administration records for six years after the end of the engagement, in line with UK statutory record-keeping requirements; server logs for a short rolling period. When a retention period ends, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

07Security

Access to personal data is restricted to people who need it for their role. We use encrypted connections (TLS) for this website, access-controlled storage, and structured retention so data is not kept longer than necessary. No internet transmission is entirely risk-free, but we take proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect what we hold.

08International transfers

Where a service provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on a UK adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, so your data receives an equivalent standard of protection.

09Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you may ask us to:

• Confirm what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy (access)
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data (rectification)
• Delete data we no longer need (erasure)
• Restrict or object to particular processing

10Cookies

This website uses only what it needs to function: a local-storage flag remembering that you dismissed our payment notice, and any strictly necessary technical cookies set by our hosting platform. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
